Do you want to know the path Jesus lays out for true holiness? In the book The Ladder of the Beatitudes author Jim Forest sees the Beatitudes as Jesus’ ladder of ascent to authentic holiness. Forest uses Scripture stories, the lives of the saints and stories of everyday persons to make the Beatitudes come alive for us.​​​​​​​​​​

Pope Francis in an address to the United Stated Congress included Dorothy Day as one of four exemplary Americans who built a better future. As a bohemian youth, she was a journalist who advocated for the poor. She later converted to Catholicism and worked with Peter Maurin to establish the Catholic Worker Movement which houses, feeds, and cares for those in need. She is a contemporary with an impressive journey. The film will be viewed on April 15 and discussed on April 22. The discussion leader is Jim Pepitone. A free will offering will be welcomed.

Donation: A free will donation for these series is appreciated. Suggested donation for each session is $10.
